Flock of Sheep ready for the Shearing pen.

Having the sheep prepared your shearer is an important part of harvesting your wool. The sheep should be locked off feed the evening before shearing, and locked under a roof the night before. If they are outside overnight, they are likely to have frost or dew on their backs. Lock sheep inside with plenty of ventilation. In the winter, it is important to keep a close eye on the weather several days ahead of shearing, since they dry slower in the cold weather.
